Recently reading about the Buryats, Siberia's largest indigenous population, Wiley found the people uniquely beautiful with Asian features. Although this piece is not an accurate study of authentic Siberian costume, Wiley liked the idea of the exotic far off land and hoped to capture the sort of mystery with layers of fabric.
